  19. 1. Minimum Requirements
  20. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. To operate properly this screen saver requires:
  22. * Windows '95, '98, NT 4.0 or later
  23. * Pentium processor or later
  24. * CD-ROM drive
  25. * 8MB RAM or more
  26. * 256 color video card
  27. * Sound card & speakers recommended

  30. 2. The License Agreement

  32. This software is licensed, not sold.  Its use is subject to a
  33. license agreement.  A copy of the license agreement can be found
  34. in license.txt and in the product packaging.

  39. If you haven't already, please take a moment to register your
  40. product at www.pixelpets.com so that we can keep you informed
  41. of any changes or updates in your product.  Thank you!

  44. 4. Installing the Screen Saver
  45. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  46. Insert the Newton CD into your computer.  After a few seconds,
  47. Newton will appear.  Enjoy Newton for as long as you like.  When
  48. you want him to "disappear", just press the 'Esc' button.

  50. When your computer is left idle, Newton will reappear -- or you
  51. can bring him back, anytime, by double-clicking first on 'My 
  52. Computer' and then double-clicking on 'Newton'

  55. 5. For Best Results
  56. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  57. Your screen saver will work whether your CD is in the CD-ROM drive
  58. or not.  However, to save computer space, most of the video files
  59. remain on the CD.  In order to enjoy the fullest range of Newton's
  60. playful antics, we suggest you leave your CD in the CD-ROM drive
  61. whenever you are working at your computer.  That way, you'll see
  62. all of Newton's lively kitten capers.

  65. 6. Removing the Screen Saver
  66. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  67. To remove the screen saver completely from your computer and
  68. restore your previous screen saver settings:
  69.   1. Click the 'Start' button, point to 'Settings', 
  70.      then click 'Control Panel'
  71.   2. Double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon.
  72.   3. Click on the 'Pixel Pets' entry.  You may need to
  73.      scroll the list in order to find it.
  74.   4. Click the 'Add/Remove' button.
  75.   5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

  87.   1. Click the 'Start' button, point to 'Settings', 
  88.      then click 'Control Panel'
